Paul, was my best friend. We became friends in March of 1995. As time went on, Paul and I became very close and we both developed a special bond. We were everything to each other, a friend, a brother a confidant and on in on. There was not a week that went by where Paul and I did not communicate. We had breakfast out every Saturday. We would get together for dinner every Monday. We spent all the Holidays together and he would cook Holiday dinners with so much love and passion. Paul's family is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. The loved Paul so much and he loved them. Paul's family immediately welcomed me into their family and treated me as if I was related to them. They always invited me to their Holiday parties and special events. Paul was such a special person where I had the privilege to get to really know Paul deeply. Paul was fun loving, energetic, passionate and caring in his own way. Paul had also so many other important, special and wonderful qualities. Paul was super intelligent. He was a world of knowledge. I could always count on Paul to find answers and problem solve. Paul was so determined that if he could not solve the issue or problem, he would dedicate his time to find the answer and would not give up until he found the solution or a response. Paul was always there for me in good times and bad. He would always make attempts to cheer my if I was down and make me laugh if I was sad. I cannot imaging moving on with my life without Paul. Paul had such a wonderful heart where for years and countless years Paul would help me and be instrumental in organizing and coordinating Halloween and Christmas parties at my house for the individuals with disabilities every year. He always did it with lots of love and joy. He really cared and loved the guys from the group I work for many years through New York State. Paul and I went on vacations together to places including Canary Island (Tenerife), Spain, Italy, Greece, Florida, San Francisco and Santo Domingo. We had plans to spend the winter months in Santo Domingo when I retired from my both jobs. There are so many wonderful things I would like to include, but the list would go on and on. I will miss Paul so much. My heart is broken. I never imagined that Paul would go before me. But this is the reality. Paul's life was taken by the horrible Coronavirus. So many lives has been taken because of this virus. I an a person of deep faith in God. I know that Paul is now with his mom, dad, sister, grandmother and more who he loved, care for and knew in the Kingdom of God. As I said before, to me life will never be the same without Paul. If I could I would have done anything to save his life. There will not be one day that goes by where I will not think of Paul. We are all God's children and will pass on like Paul did. I would live the remaining days of my life with Paul in my heart and awaiting the day that I will also pass to be reunited with Paul until eternal life.
