John Bocchichio of Suffern, New York passed away May 31, 2020 at the age of 93. Born August 22, 1926 in the Bronx, New York to Angelo and Rose Bocchichio. John was a World War II veteran in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was the former owner of the Orange Top Inn located in Tuxedo, New York. He is survived by his wife of 76 years Michelina, his daughter Debra Reed of Suffern, NY, his son Robert Bocchichio and his wife Martha of West Milford, NJ, and beloved grandchildren John and his wife Justine, Meagan, Samantha, Michael, Kolby, great-grandchild Bodhi, and many nieces and nephews. Due to the COVID-19 Virus and Governor Cuomo’s declaration funeral service times cannot be made public to keep the size of the crowd smaller.

Dear John,
You surely will be missed and never forgotten by so many who loved and knew you throughout the years and your kindness and generosity will always be remembered and your stories to all of us in the EMS and the Military always brought back some great memories and laughs while dining at the Orange Top.

I recall a story that he used tell about when he was a young child. He was playing Tarzan; and while swinging about in the back woods -- his rope broke. He landed in the middle of his neighbor's outside dinner table -- in their pasta pot!!
